• Mechanical QS Engineer

Job Description

Role Overview

Responsible for quantity take-off, cost estimation, budgeting, tendering, subcontractor management, and variation order management for Mechanical and Plumbing works.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying

• Review mechanical and plumbing drawings and specifications.

• Prepare quantity take-offs for:

• HVAC Systems

• Ventilation Systems

• Plumbing & Sanitary Systems

• Water Supply Systems

• Drainage Systems

• Fire Protection Systems

• Fuel Gas Systems (if applicable)

• Utility Systems for Production Machinery

• Lift Systems

• Prepare and update Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

• Verify quantities submitted by contractors and suppliers.

• Coordinate with QS, Planning, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate quantity calculations.

Cost Estimation & Tendering

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for mechanical and plumbing works.

• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Prepare tender documents and bid comparisons.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plumping Engineering

• 0–2 years of experience in QS or MEP projects.

• Knowledge of Mechanical and Plumbing systems.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• English communication skills are an advantage.
