Head of Admissions – Brighton College Bangkok

Role Overview

The Head of Admissions is responsible for leading and managing the College's admissions and enrolment function, overseeing the complete admissions journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment and beyond. The role is focused on delivering an exceptional family experience while achieving the College's student recruitment and enrolment objectives.

The postholder will provide strategic leadership to the Admissions Team, drive enrollment growth, and deliver an exceptional experience for prospective families. The Head of Admissions reports directly to the Head Master and works closely with the School Manager, Senior Leadership Team, Marketing, Academic, and Pastoral teams. The role is responsible for leading the admissions function, supporting the College's strategic priorities, and contributing to its long-term growth and success through the recruitment and enrolment of high-quality pupils.

As a key ambassador for Brighton College Bangkok, the Head of Admissions will represent the College with professionalism and enthusiasm, building strong relationships with prospective families and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who demonstrates flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to represent the College at events, roadshows, exhibitions, and other promotional activities, including those held outside normal school hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Admissions Leadership and Team Management

Lead, manage and develop the Admissions Team, creating a positive, dynamic and high-performing team culture.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, initiative and excellence.

Lead by example and act as a role model for professionalism, commitment, integrity and outstanding customer service.

Take responsibility for the strategic direction and continuous development of the Admissions function.

Ensure that the Admissions Team operates efficiently and consistently in line with the College policies, procedures and strategic objectives.

  • Admissions Strategy and Enrolment Growth

Develop and implement a comprehensive admissions and enrolment strategy aligned with the College's strategic vision, annual enrolment objectives, and long-term growth plans.

Take overall responsibility for achieving agreed admissions and enrolment targets across all year groups and entry points while maintaining the College's high standards and reputation.

Ensure the consistent application and regular review of the College's admissions policies and procedures, including admissions criteria, waiting list management, priority and sibling admissions, nationality balance, and class capacity planning, making recommendations for continuous improvement where appropriate.

Maintain a strong understanding of the international school market, competitor activity, demographic trends, and parent decision-making factors to inform admissions strategy and planning.

Identify and develop new recruitment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and feeder markets to support sustainable enrollment growth and strengthen the College's market position.

  • Prospective Family Experience

Ensure that every prospective family receives a warm, personalised, responsive, and high-quality admissions experience throughout the entire admissions journey.

Act as the senior point of contact for priority, high-profile, and complex admissions cases.

Organise and host school visits, tours, admissions meetings, assessments, interviews, and taster experiences.

Gather feedback from prospective families and use insights and admissions data to identify opportunities to enhance the admissions journey. Work closely with the Operations and wider school teams to continually improve systems, processes, and the overall prospective family experience.

Handle sensitive and challenging situations with discretion, empathy, and sound professional judgement.

  • Admissions Operations, Data and Reporting

Oversee the accurate and effective management of admissions data and records using OpenApply and iSAMS.

Monitor and analyse key Admissions Metrics, including enquiries, applications, assessments, offers, acceptance rates, deposits, enrolments, conversion rates, withdrawals and enrolment by year group.

Prepare, analyse, and present regular admissions reports, dashboards, and enrolment forecasts to the School Manager, Head Master, Governors, and Senior Leadership Team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Use data and market insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities and support strategic decision-making.

Maintain accurate pupil numbers, class lists, enrolment forecasts and statistical data as required.

  • Marketing and Recruitment Collaboration

Work closely with the Marketing team to align admissions and marketing strategies, maximise enrolment opportunities, and ensure consistent messaging and an exceptional prospective family experience.

Provide market intelligence, admissions data, and prospective family insights to support targeted marketing campaigns, recruitment initiatives, and the continuous improvement of admissions strategies and processes.

Contribute to the College's website, social media channels, publications, and other promotional materials to strengthen the College's profile and support admissions objectives.

Work collaboratively across all departments, particularly with Academic, Pastoral, Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams, to ensure a seamless admissions and enrolment process, timely and accurate fee invoicing and enrolment administration, and a consistently high standard of service for prospective families.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Community Building

Act as a welcoming and supportive point of contact for families following enrolment, helping to ensure a smooth transition into the College community.

Maintain appropriate and proactive communication with families and ensure accurate records of significant interactions.

Work collaboratively with academic, pastoral, finance, marketing and operational teams to ensure a seamless transition from admissions to enrolment and beyond.

Attend key College events, including Open Days, productions, sporting events and community activities, to support the College's mission and strengthen relationships with families.

  • Professional Standards, Governance and Compliance

Uphold the highest standards of organisation, confidentiality, administration and professionalism.

Ensure admissions practices comply with the College policies, safeguarding requirements and relevant regulations.

Maintain current knowledge of international school admissions trends and best practice.

Represent Brighton College Bangkok positively and professionally and act as an ambassador for the College's values and ethos.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Education, Management or a related field.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a management or leadership position, preferably within admissions, enrolment, marketing or a related field.

Experience using OpenApply, iSAMS or other admissions/student management systems.

Strong organisational, analytical and project management skills.

Ability to analyse data and use insights to support strategic decision-making.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.

A positive, proactive and collaborative "can-do" attitude.

Experience working in an international school or international education sector.
