About the role

GPV Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is seeking a talented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance & Control team. This is a full-time position based in Samut Prakan, Thailand. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our suppliers maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance, directly supporting our manufacturing operations and contributing to the overall success of our organisation. The Supplier Quality Engineer plays a critical strategic role in establishing and maintaining supplier relationships whilst ensuring adherence to quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements across our supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements

• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans, identifying non-conformances and driving corrective actions to resolution

• Monitor supplier performance metrics, including on-time delivery, defect rates, and documentation accuracy, and prepare comprehensive performance reports

• Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality control procedures, specifications, and documentation systems

• Review incoming materials and component inspections, working with logistics and receiving teams to ensure quality gates are maintained

• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and complaints related to supplied materials, and implement preventive and corrective measures

• Maintain detailed records of supplier performance, audit findings, and quality metrics for continuous improvement initiatives

• Liaise between internal departments (procurement, engineering, production) and external suppliers to resolve quality concerns promptly

• Support the development and maintenance of supplier quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions

• Assist in the qualification and approval of new suppliers, conducting initial audits and assessments

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in quality assurance

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, or quality control roles, preferably within a manufacturing or logistics environment

• Strong knowledge of quality standards and systems such as ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, or similar quality management frameworks

• Demonstrated experience in conducting supplier audits, inspections, and assessments

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate root causes and implement effective solutions

• Proficiency in quality management tools and techniques, including statistical process control and corrective action procedures

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and senior management

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software systems

• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and records

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Preferably, experience with supplier relationship management and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma

• Fluency in both English and Thai (spoken and written) is advantageous
