About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Thai Language Teacher to join the educational team at DLTS International School. This is a full-time position based in Bangkruai, Nonthaburi, offering a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact on primary school students' language development and cultural understanding. As a Thai Language Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in the Thai language, fostering a love of learning whilst helping students develop strong communication skills and cultural awareness. This role is integral to our school's mission of providing quality education and developing well-rounded learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver comprehensive Thai language lessons that are engaging, age-appropriate and aligned with the curriculum standards for primary school students

• Assess student progress and understanding through various evaluation methods, including tests, assignments and classroom observations

• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking and effective communication in Thai

• Develop and utilise a variety of teaching materials, resources and instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities

• Maintain detailed records of student attendance, progress and performance, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's development

• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Thai language learning across other subject areas and contribute to the school's broader educational objectives

• Participate in curriculum development, professional development opportunities and school activities to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes

• Foster an appreciation of Thai culture, traditions and values amongst students through culturally relevant lessons and activities

• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Thai Language, Education, Linguistics or a related field

• Teaching qualification or certification in Thai Language education, or equivalent professional experience teaching Thai at primary level

• Fluency in Thai language with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong knowledge of Thai grammar, literature, culture and contemporary language usage

• Demonstrated ability to teach effectively to primary school-aged children with varied learning needs and abilities

• Experience in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and educational materials

• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents

• Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice

• Flexibility, patience and a genuine passion for education and language teaching

• Proficiency in English language would be advantageous
