• The Senior Accounting Officer (Accounts Payable) is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant recording of financial transactions.

• Manage the full accounts payable (AP) process, including invoice verification, recording, and payment processing.
• Ensure all AP transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported with documentation.
• Perform 3-way matching (Purchase Order, Goods Receipt, Invoice) where applicable.
• Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., HR, Operations, Procurement) to ensure completeness and accuracy of payment requests.
• Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with company policies and payment schedules.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all AP-related transactions for audit purposes.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and account reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company internal controls.
• Assist in mapping and allocating expenses to correct departments (e.g., PC1 / PC2 / SG&A).
• Coordinate with Finance team to ensure alignment between accounting records and payroll/payment data.
• Support external and internal audits by preparing required documentation and explanations.
• Education & Experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, or fast-paced business environments is an advantage.
• Technical Skills.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., ERP, accounting software).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, reconciliation, data analysis).
• Understanding of tax regulations (e.g., withholding tax, VAT) is preferred.
