Category Insights Analyst

Your insights will directly contribute to optimizing trade spend and increasing profitability.

- Demonstrate an analytical mindset by effectively interpreting data and creating basic data models to inform strategic decisions.
- Apply business thinking to understand how marketing initiatives drive revenue and profitability, using case studies as reference points.
- Utilize hands-on experience with analytical technologies (e.g., Power BI, KNIME, SQL, Python) to develop and present insights.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, presenting complex data findings clearly to various stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend key business drivers through KBD modeling and shopper insights analysis, contributing to the overall success of the category.
Job Responsibilities
- Mine shopper insights to understand in-store shopping behaviors, identifying trial drivers and factors that influence purchase decisions.
- Define top Key Business Drivers (KBD) through modeling for CVS/MM customers and categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Identify pricing and promotional opportunities to optimize trade spend and enhance category performance.
- Reinvent go-to-market (GTM) activity systems, including assortment, margin, and display quantity, tailored to specific channels and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement insights and monitor their effectiveness in real-time.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related fields
- Must have an analytical mindset with experience in data interpretation, basic data modeling, and proxy data thinking.
- Strong understanding of business principles, particularly how businesses generate revenue, supported by case study analysis.
- Hands-on experience with at least two analytical technologies, such as Power BI, KNIME, SQL, Python, or other programming languages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to diverse audiences.
