Our Asia Pacific Investments business has a large, dedicated and highly experienced investment team which has been investing across the region since 1985, and manages all our Asian products, including regional, country, smaller companies, and sustainable investing propositions.

The team has a strong regional footprint with offices in Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, and Sydney. This breadth gives us close proximity to the companies we own and the markets we invest in. Our APAC operations have been based in Singapore since 1992. We invest in Asian companies to grow with them and to help them to become better investors.

Job Description

Overall wholesales business, initiating strategies and lead the execution team covering Thailand intermediary markets to grow sustainable AUM across the franchises. Wholesale business is one of a key revenue generating across Bank, Insurance and Securities companies with high growth potential in Thai market amid higher demand of investment products as well as the significant growth of local high net worth & retail individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Establish, enhance and maintain strong relationship with fund distribution partners including but not limited to Bank, Insurance and Securities companies.

• Lead and support Aberdeen Wholesale Distribution strategy & team covering Thailand intermediary markets. Articulate Wholesale strategies to grow sustainable AUM across the franchises.

• Assist in the production & delivery of fund updates & commentaries, presentations, sales briefing & seminar material, sales ideas, fund launches & responses to client requests & questions.

• Understand client's demand and able to provide product strategies and investment solutions. Able to communicate effective and efficiently with strong presentation skills.

• Conduct competitor analysis on funds, market news & research to generate sales blasts for client communications. Analyze Funds' holdings to enhance the width & depth of data provided to intermediaries.

• Coordinate client/prospect meetings, sponsorship events, seminars & roadshows with visiting Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers & Senior Management. Manage & coordinate local events.

• Bring the entire value chain of Aberdeen to clients (e.g. Wealth Tech, Sustainability, etc.)

Risk and Control

Compliance - Adhere to rules and regulations set through Aberdeen policies and procedures as well as the respective market regulators.

Collaboration - Have client outcomes at the forefront of what we do. In order to achieve this every employee needs to collaborate seamlessly across functions, locations and ranks for the benefit of our clients

Control & Supervision - Ensure proper supervision of direct reports via regular meetings / updates. Actively participate in the RCSA process to detect control deficiencies and assess effectiveness of control environment.
