Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing building engineering system installation projects to ensure completion in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and approved budgets. The role involves overseeing contractors, inspecting installation works, reviewing technical documents, and coordinating with project stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

Job Description

Plan, monitor, and manage building engineering system installation projects in line with project plans and timelines.

Review construction drawings, installation works, and contractor performance to ensure compliance with approved drawings, Purchase Orders (PO), and Terms of Reference (TOR).

Supervise and monitor electrical systems, Fire Alarm systems, Generators, Fire Pumps, and other building engineering systems.

Inspect installation, repair, and renovation works to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and engineering standards.

Coordinate with Project Managers, contractors, consultants, and relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Review and verify project documentation, including work schedules, site access requests, quotations, and project handover documents.

Prepare progress reports, identify project issues, and propose effective corrective actions and solutions.

Monitor project execution to ensure completion within approved timelines and budgets.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, engineering standards, and workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Professional Engineering License (Associate Engineer Level or higher) is required.

Proven experience in building engineering systems, including Electrical Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, and Fire Pumps.

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Experience in supervising and controlling installation works to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.

Strong planning, project control, and monitoring skills to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Excellent coordination, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.

Good understanding of quality assurance, safety standards, and engineering best practices.
