Remote Lands is a luxury tour operator specializing exclusively in extraordinary private journeys across Asia. For more than 20 years, we have created highly personalized travel experiences for discerning travelers, combining deep destination expertise with exceptional access, service and storytelling.

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Specialist to lead our organic social media strategy and take ownership of Remote Lands' day-to-day presence across our key social platforms.

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this is a hands-on role, spanning both B2C and B2B marketing, for someone who combines strong creative instincts with an understanding of brand, audience and social media strategy. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who can identify opportunities, develop ideas and drive them forward.

Day to Day

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Remote Lands' organic social media strategy across both B2C and B2B audiences

• Plan and manage the social media content calendar

• Grow Remote Lands' social media following and build an increasingly relevant and engaged audience

• Create, publish and optimize content across Instagram, Facebook and other relevant platforms

• Develop social-first content ideas that reflect the Remote Lands brand and appeal to our target audience

• Proactively identify, source and generate compelling content, working with colleagues, travelers, partners, suppliers and teams on the ground across Asia

• Engage meaningfully with the social media content of key travel advisor partners

• Write polished, on-brand, and engaging social copy

• Identify content opportunities around destinations, travel trends, cultural moments, company activity and new product launches

• Coordinate with our editorial, product, marketing and design teams

• Monitor channel and content performance and use insights to inform future strategy

• Keep abreast of changing social media formats, platform developments and best practices

Desired Skills & Traits

What We're Looking For

• Previous professional social media experience is required

• Strong written English and excellent attention to detail

• A strong visual eye and good creative judgment

• A proactive, resourceful approach with an entrepreneurial mindset

• The ability to work independently, take ownership and move projects forward

• A strong understanding of organic social media strategy and content development

• A genuine interest in travel, culture and storytelling

• Knowledge of the US travel market and US social media audiences is a major advantage

• Experience in luxury travel, hospitality, lifestyle or another premium consumer brand is advantageous

• A good understanding of photography, image selection and composition

• Image editing skills using Photoshop, Lightroom or similar tools are desirable

• Experience creating and editing Reels or other short-form video content is a plus but not required
