(GEM) TA Material Expediter

A results-oriented TA Material Expediter dedicated to ensuring seamless material flow during critical Turnaround (TA) periods. Expert in bridging the gap between planning, procurement, and execution by ensuring every component is tracked, verified, and delivered on time to prevent any schedule slippage.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planners in issuing Purchase Requisition (PR) and monitoring material procurement activities.
- Track and follow up on material order status with Procurement and Vendors, including delivery schedules and lead times.
- Maintain accurate visibility of material delivery dates and communicate updates to planners and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with planners to arrange material pickup, receiving, and internal transportation as required.
- Oversee proper storage and handling of received materials to ensure accuracy, safety, and accessibility.
- Design, manage, and improve material storage and management systems related to TA.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding material delivery, storage requirements, and handling arrangements.
- Work closely with planners to verify that delivered materials are correct, complete, and comply with purchase specifications.
- Manage and support logistics activities related to material movement and storage as assigned.
- Provide administrative support for the department, including documentation, records, and reporting.
- Assist planners and schedulers in managing schedules and material readiness to support maintenance execution.
- Perform other administrative or coordination tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree: In Industrial Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Good understanding of material management, logistics, and procurement processes
- Ability to track multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Industry Experience: Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Plant environments (specifically in Turnaround/Shutdown projects) is highly preferred.
