Support Engineer / MES Service Desk / Software Support

Scope of the Role Function as first point of contact, initial assessment of inbound issues, gather all information for incidents reported from customers Provide enterprise-level support and technical assistance to customers Ownership of issues reported from customer and seeing problems through the resolution Research, diagnose, identify, troubleshooting system and productive resolutions to resolve system issues Following the defined standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved incidents to the appropriate internal, and external teams Continuously improve services and deliver the satisfaction to internal customers and external customers

  • Research and identify resolution to software and hardware issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues which may be related to other IT areas (e.g. network, OS, 3rd party software)
  • Inquire questions to customer, to quickly understand the root of the problem
  • Track computer issues and corresponding system through the resolution, within agreement timeframe
  • Follow-up and ensure ticket is created, updated, resolve within SLA
  • Liaise with customers in regard a series of actions via ticketing system, phone, email or online chat until solving the technical issues
  • Properly escalate unresolved incidents to appropriate internal, external teams following the workflow in a timely manner
  • Communicate to management on high-impact operational issues.
  • Provide a prompt communication and accurate feedback to customers
  • Perform investigation the internal database or external resources to provide accurate technical resolutions
  • Prioritize and manage several incoming/ongoing issues at one time
  • Follow up with customers to ensure the systems are recovered and fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Generate report and analyse proper preventive action, as required
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes, manuals, or specific sources
  • Maintain jovial relationships with customers
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Good communications skill in Thai and English, both verbal and written
  • Preferable Mandarin speaking
  • Have a good understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Have knowledge in business process focused software (e.g: MES, ERP)
  • Ability to work in flexible hours
  • Can do attitude with a willingness to be flexible
  • Capability to multitask, and work under pressure
  • Good team player, but also able to work under own initiative
  • Continually strives to enhance knowledge, learning and skills improvement
  • Committed to undertaking on-the-job training programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passionate to improve the quality of software products
  • Naturally curious about the way software works (and doesn't work)
  • Enthusiastic to learn new technologies and software
