About the role

Market Surveillance Analyst is responsible for monitoring transactions and market surveillance systems, detecting market manipulation to ensure the integrity and compliance of trading activities for the Company's cryptocurrency exchange. Keep the company's risk management robust, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the market surveillance program

• Monitor trading activities for signs of market manipulation

• Review alerts generated by surveillance systems and conduct thorough investigations to determine if potential violations have occurred

• Review written risk management and surveillance procedures

• Work cross-functionally with other departments, especially the Compliance, Finance and the Analytics Department

• Analyze client risk profiles and trading strategies; implement appropriate risk detection logics

• Evaluate and oversee the monitoring of intraday and overnight client risk exposure

• Identify critical risk areas and take decisive action to mitigate them

• Assist in responding to regulatory, internal, and external inquiries from the SEC, AMLO, and related parties

• Document findings and escalate issues to the management team and BOD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Legal, Public Policy, Business Administration, Data Analytics or any related field of study; or equivalent work experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the financial industry, transaction or related fields of expertise (financial or cryptocurrency sector is preferable)

• Strong knowledge of SEC, AMLO rules and regulations

• Highly organized with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• Experienced working with multi-functional teams and implementing market surveillance and risk management methodology and programs

• Independent self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to engage proactively

• Excellent MS Excel skills and technical proficiency; ability to create analytic dashboards preferred

• Familiar with database querying and data visualization tools, experienced tuning surveillance scenarios preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Thai and English, with the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
