Regional BI and Data Management Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing Enterprise Data Governance, Data Management, Big Data Analytics and develop Enterprise Data Strategy for SEA Markets / Brands. Working as a peer with Market IT BI team to sustain the Operations and Standards.
  • Lead the transformational build, use and deployment of the next generation analytics capabilities across businesses in SEA and collaborating with Group Direction.
  • Establish and maintain the Data Management Platform (DMP) and execute the BI & Data Analytics projects for SEA markets bringing the company data eco-system and maturity to the next level through use of latest data management and analytics technology currently being deployed.
  • Driving innovation initiatives and execute the analytics roadmap while partnering closely with Data Analytics vendor and business stakeholders.
  • Design, build and maintain user-friendly reporting framework & dashboards for regional and local.
  • Manage, organize and present analytics data that drives action, establishing key metrics and KPIs.
  • Build and deploy Machine Learning Algorithms, Advanced Analytics, and Data Visualization across SEA markets.


New data integration and data infrastructure

  • A key contributor to the development of organization data infrastructure and collaborate closely with vendor’s data engineers on a day-to-day basis to ensure development drives business outcomes.
  • Create impeccable and user-friendly documentation for data sources and data dictionary across the businesses.
  • Establish a clear Business Glossary to keep everyone on the same page by defining common terminology and interpretation of the same data.
  • Validate data structure in Data Management Platform, refine logic and data transformation, and build aggregation tables to provide seamless reporting and data access across the business.
  • Improve data maturity with high data quality, reliability, and visibility of business insights in consistent manner and enable business team to identify opportunities and threats for the company.


Education | Qualification | Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent
  • 7+ years of relevant analytics experience
  • Experience in Database and Big Data platform such as Databricks, Spark, Hadoop, etc.
  • Experience in Data Management tools such as Data Lake, BI, ETL, Dashboards, Balanced Scorecards, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Azure will be advantageous


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required

  • Highly proficient in data analysis and data mining skills (such as Python, Scala, R, T-SQL, MDX, DAX, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solution.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of data governance best practice.
  • Strong data visualization skills using Power BI.
  • Understand the reporting and business intelligence best practices.
  • Ability to synthesize information from various sources to Data Management Platform to create actionable point of view and direction for BI reporting requirement.
  • Possess a strong ability to query and use large, robust data sets across latest Delta Lake and Databrick platforms.


Others

  • Fluent communication in English and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Should be able to travel to other countries if needed.
