Job Description & Summary
Those in software engineering at PwC will focus on developing innovative software solutions to drive digital transformation and enhance business performance. In this field, you will use your knowledge to design, code, and test cutting-edge applications that revolutionise industries and deliver exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications.
- Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Collaborate with the frontend team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic as
- well as with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security
- Design and manage databases, including schema design, optimization, and query performance.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable and well-documented code
- Identify and fix bottlenecks, bugs, and security issues
- Monitor and maintain existing software systems.
- Conduct software testing and debugging.
- Work with DevOps to manage deployment pipelines and server configurations.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
- Provide technical support
Mandatory technical skills
- Strong knowledge of Full Stack design, End-to-End , Develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend services and APIs.
Experience in backend development by using NodeJS, NestJS, TypeScript , PL/SQL, SQL
- PL/SQL, SQL/NoSQL
- Knowledge of database systems such Database e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture is a plus
- Container (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) platform is a plus
- Deployment and DevOps is a plus
- Public cloud such as AWS, GCP and Azure is a plus
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, MIS, Computer Science, or related fields
- Strong proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Spring Boot , Node.js, Java
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure
- Experience with version control (Git).
- Understanding of security and data protection practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Project Management: Agile
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations
- Ability to consult management and engineering teams with technical advice
- Good command of English is a plus
Work type
- Ability to work on-site (up to 5 days/week)
