Job Overview:We are looking for Commissioning Engineers from Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds to join our Thailand team.
This vacancy is open to candidates at all career stages, from fresh graduates and junior engineers to experienced and senior professionals. The scope and level of responsibility will be assigned based on each candidate's technical background and relevant experience.
You will support or lead the testing and commissioning of mechanical or electrical systems across construction and mission-critical projects. The role covers site inspections, functional testing, integrated systems testing, technical documentation, troubleshooting, and coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities1. Testing and Commissioning Activities
- Support or lead testing and commissioning activities for mechanical or electrical systems, depending on your technical discipline.
- Review project drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, Sequence of Operations, method statements, and commissioning requirements.
- Prepare or assist with commissioning plans, schedules, checklists, test scripts, and testing procedures.
- Conduct equipment inspections, pre-functional checks, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing.
- Verify system performance against approved design intent, project specifications, and operational requirements.
- Record test results, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and vendors.
- Support system troubleshooting, fault-finding, retesting, and final close-out activities.
- Confirm testing instruments are properly set up, calibrated, and operated safely.
- Mechanical Commissioning
- Candidates from a Mechanical Engineering background may work on:
- HVAC systems, chilled water plants, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and associated piping.
- CRAC, CRAH, air-handling, ventilation, and data-centre cooling systems.
- Hydronic systems, equipment performance, controls, system redundancy, and failover scenarios.
- Mechanical interfaces with BMS, electrical, fire protection, and other building services.
- Functional Performance Testing and Integrated Systems Testing under different operating conditions.
- Electrical Commissioning
- Candidates from an Electrical Engineering background may work on:
- MV and LV power-distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, ATS, grounding, and lighting systems.
- Load-bank testing, power-failure simulations, equipment performance, redundancy, and failover scenarios.
- Electrical interfaces with EPMS, BMS, fire alarm, mechanical, and other building systems.
- Verification of single-line diagrams, protection settings, test readings, equipment operation, and system performance.
- Functional Performance Testing and Integrated Systems Testing under normal and emergency operating conditions.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain commissioning checklists, test sheets, inspection records, punch lists, deficiency logs, and issue trackers.
- Prepare or support the preparation of commissioning reports and technical submissions.
- Review and update drawings, equipment schedules, testing procedures, O&M manuals, and close-out records.
- Support the preparation of final commissioning reports, as-built documentation, and system turnover packages.
- Accurately document site observations, test data, corrective actions, and outstanding issues.
- Site Coordination and Communication
- Work closely with commissioning managers, design engineers, project managers, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Attend project and technical meetings to report progress and address commissioning issues.
- Coordinate site access, testing schedules, equipment readiness, and witness testing.
- Communicate technical findings clearly through written reports and verbal updates.
- Guide junior team members and review commissioning documents when assigned at a senior level.
- Quality, Compliance and Safety
- Follow approved commissioning procedures, project specifications, local codes, and relevant industry standards.
- Comply with site safety requirements, project HSE procedures, and client-specific rules.
- Confirm installations are complete and ready for testing before commissioning begins.
- Support quality-control measures and risk management throughout the commissioning process.
- Escalate safety concerns, technical deviations, and unresolved deficiencies to the appropriate project stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with experience in testing and commissioning, MEP, construction, building services, data centres, or mission-critical projects will be considered for experienced or senior positions.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical building systems relevant to your discipline.
- Interest in site-based engineering, system testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with CAD, BIM, testing instruments, or engineering analysis software is an advantage.
- Data-centre or mission-critical infrastructure experience is an advantage but is not required for fresh graduates.
- Native Thai speaker with good written and spoken English.
- Willing to work on-site in Chonburi, Rayong, or other assigned project locations.

Requirements for Senior-Level Candidates
- Strong hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical testing and commissioning.
- Ability to develop commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, and detailed test scripts.
- Experience leading Functional Performance Testing and Integrated Systems Testing.
- Ability to manage technical issues and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
- Experience reviewing junior engineers' work and providing technical guidance.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning standards, system interfaces, safety requirements, and project close-out processes.
