Head of Finance & Accounting

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance & Accounting to join LIEBHERR (THAILAND) CO., LTD. in Rayong. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead and oversee all financial and accounting operations for our organization. As Head of Finance & Accounting, you will play a critical role in driving financial excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth and operational efficiency. This position reports to senior management and is instrumental in shaping the financial direction of the company.
Key responsibilities
Leading and managing the finance and accounting department, including budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities
- Overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls and financial governance procedures
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Conducting financial analysis and providing strategic recommendations to senior management
- Managing tax planning and compliance obligations in accordance with Thai regulations
- Supervising and mentoring finance and accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Liaising with external auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure adherence to financial reporting standards
- Managing cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity and financial performance
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management or head of department role
- Strong knowledge of Thai accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements
- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Excellent understanding of internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills in English and Thai; additional languages are advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide strategic business insights
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
