Global Process Control Engineer – OSG Asia Hub

Location: Based in Laemchabang area with Prachinburi 304 area visits from time to time

About the role

Develop, implement, commission, and optimize advanced process control and smart automation solutions to improve process stability, plant performance, and operational efficiency. You will establish and support data-driven control loop analysis and performance monitoring systems, create static and dynamic process simulations, and support operator training through simulation environments. This role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, providing control engineering expertise for automation projects, and collaborating with cross-functional and global stakeholders to standardize automation concepts across production sites.

Key responsibilities

Develop, implement, commission, and optimize advanced process control and smart automation solutions to improve process stability, plant performance, and operational efficiency

• Establish and support data-driven control loop analysis and performance monitoring systems, including Control Performance Management and Alarm Management programs

• Create static and dynamic process simulations to develop, test, and optimize automation and control concepts

• Support operator training and validation of Distributed Control System (DCS) programs through simulation environments

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging process data, automation technologies, and advanced control methodologies

• Provide control engineering expertise for automation-related projects, ensuring robust design, successful commissioning, and sustainable operation

• Collaborate with cross-functional and global stakeholders to standardize automation concepts and promote best practices across production sites

• Build and maintain strong business relationships to become a trusted partner for stakeholders across functions and manufacturing environments

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field

• Several years of professional experience in automation, process control, or industrial manufacturing environments

• Excellent knowledge of automation and control engineering methods

• Ability to create static and dynamic process models and simulations for the development and optimization of automation concepts

• Strong knowledge of process engineering and production plant operations, including awareness of quality and SHE requirements

• Strong analytical capabilities, including the application of statistical process control and data analysis techniques

• Proactive problem-solving mindset with a high level of solution orientation

• Strong communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills

• Very good English communication skills (B2 level) and proficiency in M365, GenAI, PIMS, and related digital tools
