Digital Development Representative - Systems Hardware

Your Role and Responsibilities


The Digital Sales Representative (DDR) is an inside sales position (allowed to meet with clients face-to-face when needed) and responsible for selling IBM Systems Hardware (IBM Power Systems, LinuxOne, Storage) solutions. 

Primary focus will be on developing new business both through new customer acquisition and selling new footprint and new workload/ new solutions into existing customer accounts. The DDR will be responsible for managing all phases of the sales pipeline from identification of pipeline, validation, lead passing to Business Partner OO or IBM Brand OO and own progression of the leads to closure. Particular emphasis on identifying and prospecting to new customers and recognizing opportunities to drive predictable and profitable revenue in Commercial and selected key Enterprise markets. 

A “Hunter Position” requiring a self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual. The DDR will be responsible for attaining sales revenue goals from their OI create and communicating progress to goals and strategies/tactics to reach revenue targets with IBM Digital Business Group and Systems Hardware management in country and Asean. A good team-player requiring to work with the extended teams of IBM and IBM Business Partners, Independent Software Vendors, MSPs/CSPs and System Integrators to deliver a total and value-added solutions for the clients. 

The DDR will call on C-level or Executive level decision makers in a consultative sales role and must be able to communicate IBMs value proposition that is solution based and differentiates IBM. 

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 3 years of business to business IT sales experience 
  • Experience developing a new territory including lead generation and cold calling.
  • Ability to carry and deliver on a sales budget. 
  • Results oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Energetic self motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Able to sell to C-level executives (CEO, CMO, President, VP, Director Level, etc...)
  • Organized and detail oriented with professional presentation ability.
  • Willing to embrace new technology and well-verse with Social Media.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Preferably with knowledge the IBM Systems solutions, Competitors and IT market in country
