Job Scope:

The Pet Innovation Center- Director plays a crucial role in bringing innovative pet products to market that appeal to consumers and meet the nutritional needs of pets by overseeing the development and execution of various initiatives related to Pet Nutrition, Formulation, Product and Packaging development, Pet Research Center, Quality Assurance, Technical Service and Support, as well as Business Process Management.

Responsibilities

Nutrition and Formulation: Develop and implement nutritional and formulation strategies for pet products to meet customer needs and market demands.

Product and Packaging Development: Coordinate with the manufacturing and marketing team to oversee the development and implementation of new products, including packaging design and labeling.

Pet Research Center: Manage the research and development efforts to identify and evaluate new ingredients, technologies, and health benefits for pets.

Quality Assurance: Develop and adhere to all quality assurance protocols that ensure the production and distribution of safe, high-quality products.

Technical Services and Support: Serve as a technical expert on pet nutrition and product development, providing support and guidance to internal teams and external customers.

Business Process Management: Develop and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies in product development and bring new products to market faster.

Team building: Encourage open communication and collaboration among team members and foster a positive and supportive team environment.

Drive business strategy: Identify and prioritize goals and objectives for the business and monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.

Cultivate new way of working: Embrace innovation and technology to improve business processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in animal science, Food Science, Veterinary, Biochemistry or a related field.

At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role or with product development, manufacturing processes, and marketing strategies specific in the pet industry or in a related field with a focus on product innovation.

Strong knowledge of Pet Nutrition, Production Technology.

Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Legal and regulatory requirements in the pet industry.

Communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
