We are seeking a

Lead QA Engineer

to act as Betagro IT's technical quality authority. This role leads the QA Engineering team, translating the Head DE's QA strategy into executable test programs, and is accountable for pre-release defect detection, robust automation, and continuous QA team development.

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy & Quality Gates:

Implement and enforce test standards and quality gates across all initiatives (functional, regression, performance, AI model validation). Own pre-release defect detection and escalate bypass attempts. Provide QA performance data.

Automation Program Management:

Build, expand, and manage automated regression suites within CI/CD pipelines, driving automation coverage growth and reviewing scripts from Senior QA Engineers.

QA Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and performance-manage QA Engineers, developing individual capabilities across functional, automation, and performance testing disciplines.

Delivery Integration & Test Planning:

Partner with Delivery Managers for proactive test planning and UAT coordination, embedding QA from project kick-off.

QA Intelligence Reporting:

Generate and report defect, automation, and quality trend metrics to the Head DE for executive reporting and portfolio decisions.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering.

Experience:

7+ years in QA engineering, demonstrating progression to test strategy design.

3+ years leading a QA team of 5+ people (performance management, IDPs, mentoring).

Proven experience building or scaling test practices (standards, automation roadmap, quality gates).

Managing QA coverage across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Partnering with Delivery Managers on test planning and UAT.

Exposure to AI model testing or data quality validation is

a must

SAP testing methodology experience preferred.

Technical Skills (Practitioner Level):

Functional, Regression, Performance/Load, UAT, Test Automation Frameworks, Shift-Left Quality, Defect Management, QA Metrics. AI/ML model testing and PDPA data quality understanding preferred.

Leadership Skills:

Translate QA strategy, manage automation frameworks, own quality gates, design QA metrics, lead team development, tool selection, UAT coordination, CI/CD integration.

Certifications:

ISTQB (Technical Test Analyst); ISTQB Agile Tester preferred.
