Senior Legal & Compliance

Thaimart is looking for a Senior Compliance professional with strong legal and regulatory knowledge and hands-on experience in E-commerce, Marketplace, or Digital Platform businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal and compliance advice related to E-commerce, Marketplace, and Digital Platform operations.

• Interpret and assess applicable laws and regulatory requirements related to online transactions and marketplace operations.

• Coordinate with QC, Buyer, and Seller teams to manage complaints, disputes, and other issues arising from transactions on the platform.

• Provide legal and compliance guidance to the QC team on counterfeit, imitation, and potentially intellectual property-infringing products, including appropriate actions and escalation procedures for related sellers.

• Review business models, product features, campaigns, and operational processes to identify potential legal and compliance risks before implementation.

• Develop appropriate approaches and controls for Buyer/Seller misconduct, fraud, counterfeit products, and other marketplace compliance risks.

• Develop and maintain Compliance Policies, Guidelines, SOPs, and Internal Controls to support marketplace operations.

• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on the business.

• Partner closely with Business, Product, Operations, QC, Marketing, and Legal teams to develop practical solutions that balance business objectives with legal and compliance requirements.

• Coordinate with relevant government authorities and regulatory bodies when required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Law (LL.B.).

• At least 5–8 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, or a related function.

• Good command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Hands-on experience in E-commerce, Marketplace, Digital Platform, or Technology businesses is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of legal and compliance matters related to Buyer–Seller Disputes, Consumer Protection, Counterfeit Goods, Intellectual Property, and Online Transactions.

• Ability to analyze complex cases and translate legal requirements into practical business solutions.

• Strong skills in Risk Assessment, Investigation, Problem Solving, and Stakeholder Management.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handling complex or sensitive cases.
