Job Summary
Bridge category growth ambition with channel execution realities, ensuring that each category delivers the right products, pricing, and plans across channels—maximizing value for both OSP and customers and ensuring brand and portfolio strategies are translated into winning channel strategiesJob Description:
1.Channel Strategy Development
- Define go-to-market strategy for each category in different channels (MT, TT, Omni).
- Segment channels by potential and role for the category
- Recommend channel prioritization based on growth, shopper behavior, and strategic fit
2. Performance Analytics
- Track category and channel performance (e.g., growth, share, distribution)
- Identify execution gaps and opportunities
- Analyzing KPIs, diagnose sales results, and generate insights that drive continuous improvement
3. Commercial Planning and Selling story
- Transforming marketing and brand strategies into actionable, channel-specific commercial plans that drive in-store excellence and deliver on sales objectives.
- Developing shopper and category insights and translating them into compelling selling stories and materials for customer-facing teams.
4.Promo Strategy Alignment and Trade spend Management
- Planning, executing, and evaluating trade marketing activities and promotional investments
- Support promo planning in sync with category brand priorities
- Develop farmwork guidelines of promotion mechanics, depth, and timing by channel
- optimizing ROI and ensuring compliance with company guidelines for better promo efficiency
5.Assortment & Planogram Strategy
- Recommend tailored assortment by channel and customer
- Define planogram guidelines to maximize visibility and sales
- Ensure pack/size/channel relevance
6. joint Business Planning (JBP) Support
- Provide input into JBP with customers based on category priorities
- Align channel-level innovation and promo calendars
- Partner with Customer Development to ensure category strategies land at store level
