[ABOUT THE JOB]

As a Reliability Engineer at Sony Device Technology (Thailand), you will help test and confirm the quality of our semiconductor products, covering both automotive and consumer image sensors. You will run reliability tests, investigate the root causes of failures, coordinate testing work with our lab technician team, and help plan equipment and tooling needs, working closely with the Reliability, Quality, and Process Engineering teams to make sure our products meet Sony's global quality standards and automotive requirements (AEC-Q100) before they go to market.

Plan & Prepare

Review new product specs; plan reliability test schedules, including AEC-Q100 requirements for automotive products; help identify equipment and tooling budget needs.

Test & Coordinate

Run qualification tests (HTOL, THB, Temperature Cycling, HAST, ESD/Latch-up); coordinate daily testing tasks with lab technicians.

Analyze & Diagnose

Investigate failures and test waste; find root cause using data and methods like 5 Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA.

Maintain & Develop

Perform machine maintenance and calibration; support on-the-job training for lab technicians.

Report & Standardize

Document findings, update Work Standards (WS), and report results to the team.

[WHAT YOU'LL DO]

Plan and run reliability tests to meet product qualification deadlines, including AEC-Q100 tests for automotive products.

Perform reliability tests such as HTOL, THB, Temperature Cycling, HAST, and ESD/Latch-up testing, following JEDEC (JESD22) and AEC-Q100 standards.

Analyze test waste and non-conforming results to identify areas for improvement.

Prepare and carry out machine maintenance plans, including equipment calibration.

Coordinate daily testing tasks with lab technicians and support their on-the-job training.
