Assistant Manager, Accounting (OTC)

Role Purpose
To be responsible for all accounting activities relating to the Order to Cash (OTC) workstream, such as managing credit control, sales collection, and DSO monitoring, including relevant internal control, and taxes adhering to company and government regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for overseeing full loop of accounts receivable (AR) for all channels including billing, collection, clearing tender account, reconcilation as well as AR relevent reportings.
  • Closely montitor on aged AR and long outstanding transactions and work with commercial team on the customers' payment plan and solution.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of OTC workstrean is achievable i.e. DSO and aging portfolio.
  • Monitor all aspects of the collection of outstanding debts owed to the company including controlling issue invoice/receipt.
  • Establish and continuously review credit control strategies by providing timely and accurate information for proactive decision-making.
  • Issue non-trade credit notes such as rebates, and marketing activities support to the customer.
  • Ensure that all financial deadlines relating to accounts receivable are met for month/quarter/year-end financial closing.
  • Validate and ensure that all bank incoming items have been monitored and recorded properly in a timely manner by Global Business Services (GBS).
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve the timeliness, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of the billing and collection function.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party tax consultants to prepare monthly output VAT report in a timely manner, and perform revenue reconciliation between PP30 vs GL on monthly basis across all channels.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party distributors and transportation to gather relevant documentation for customer billing placement process; documentation such as POD, Invoice, and Delivery Notes.
  • Maintain and follow the adopted internal controls in the relevant area.
  • Educate and communicate the updated/new OTC policy to the entire organization for well understanding.
  • Play TH OTC key representative person involved in OTC projects/assignments such GBS project, GTC project, CFIN project
  • Be a role model as a compliance guardian as well as a business partner across functions.
  • Handle ad-hoc financial/accounting assignments.
Professional background/ Experience:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Prefer at least 5-8 years of experience in OTC area or similar role
  • Experience in FMCG and retail business is a plus
  • Preferred audit background in Big 4
  • Familiar with ERP applications, preferably SAP
  • Result-oriented
  • Can-Do attitude with change and teamwork mindset
  • Proficient in MS Office program especially in Excel
  • Fluent in English both in written and communication skill
