Position Summary

The AVP/DVP - Technical Operations is responsible for leading and managing the organization's technical operations to ensure the stability, scalability, and reliability of technology infrastructure and platforms. This role oversees operational governance, system performance, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth and operational excellence.

The role works closely with senior leadership, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that technical operations align with organizational strategy, service reliability standards, and operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Operations Leadership

• Lead and oversee end-to-end technical operations, ensuring high system availability, reliability, and performance.
• Establish and implement operational frameworks, policies, and standards to support scalable and resilient technology operations.
• Drive operational governance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and operational KPIs.

Infrastructure & System Management

• Oversee the management and optimization of infrastructure, platforms, and operational systems.
• Ensure effective monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution processes.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve system stability.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, automation, and process optimization.
• Implement best practices in IT operations, including reliability engineering, operational resilience, and risk management.
• Lead initiatives to enhance system scalability and operational readiness for business expansion.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, and IT teams to support system deployment, integration, and operational readiness.
• Provide strategic input into technology roadmap and operational capability development.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure technical operations support evolving business requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing technical operations team.
• Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 10+ years of experience in technical operations, IT infrastructure, or platform operations, with significant leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing large-scale technology operations in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure management, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems operations.
• Experience with operational frameworks such as ITIL, SRE, or DevOps practices.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
