Solution Analyst – BI / DWS
atAIA (Thailand) Co., Ltd.- Design and develop business information (reporting/dashboard) solutions by applying information and data presentation practices using Business Intelligence and Operational Reporting related tools.
- Analyze data, database relationships, and data issues to support report requests and respond to report discrepancy inquiries.
- Communicate with business users to deliver reports and other user interfaces that drive business value and efficiently as well as effectively leverage the use of data.
- Provide support for information systems identifying opportunities for enhancements to features and processes. Research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT - related fields
- Essential to have understanding and experience with dimensional modelling concepts (star schema, slowly changing dimensions etc.) and BI Tools and technologies (data modelling, data integration/ETL, reporting, metadata management, data quality management, data mining, corporate performance management etc.)
- Strong knowledge of SQL within a reporting / business intelligence environment.
- Strong analytical skills used for investigating/explaining data discrepancies in reports. Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and performance related issues.
- Self-motivated and takes initiative; strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to multi-task and meet targets.
- Team player mentality, oriented toward collaborative engagement. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with end users in gathering report requirements and in assisting with testing.
- Experience working on an information delivery team in the P&C Insurance industry.
- Good command of written and spoken English
