• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and AutoCAD in pipeline alignment selection, engineering design, drafting of pipeline plans, longitudinal sections, and associated details.
• Effective English communication skills, especially verbal.
• Experience in water and wastewater conveyance (linear pipe infrastructure, both gravity and pressure piping) and hydraulic engineering that include small and large diameter pipelines, gravity sewers, pump stations, hydraulic structures, service reservoirs and valve structures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers (locally and internationally) to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Experience with hydraulic calculations and/or modelling, such as part-full gravity flow in sewer and drainage pipes, pressurised flow head loss, and pump system curves using hydraulic software such as EPANET and Excel spreadsheet-based tools.
• Ability to specify pipe and fitting materials, pressure class, joint types, valve types, and construction methodologies, with the ability to consult published literature and datasheets to determine pipe and fitting dimensions and details.
