Job Description
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for data modeling and design.
- Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for our Data Lakehouse environment.
- Work closely with data engineers to implement data models in accordance with best practices and performance requirements.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across various data sources.
- Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and efficiency, considering factors such as data volume, query complexity, and system resources.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on data modeling best practices and standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting activities to ensure the reliability and robustness of data models.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in data modeling and data management, and make recommendations for their adoption.
- Document data models, schemas, and related processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the organization.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
Job Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture, preferably in a Data Lakehouse environment.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques, such as ER diagrams, dimensional modeling, and normalization.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts, including SQL, NoSQL, and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related data services (e.g., S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, BigQuery).
- Familiarity with data governance principles, data integration techniques, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical data solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
