Business Analyst (BA) – Murex System

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with strong knowledge of the Murex platform to support Treasury, Capital Markets, and Risk Management initiatives. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and driving Murex system enhancements and implementations.


The role involves working closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk Management, Finance, and IT teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across trading, risk, and post-trade operations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirement Management

  • Work closely with business users to elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed Functional Specification Documents (FSD) and Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
  • Conduct gap analysis between current and target-state processes.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and user discussions.

Murex System Implementation & Enhancement

  • Support Murex implementation, upgrade, enhancement, and change initiatives.
  • Analyze and configure Murex functionalities to support business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Murex developers, vendors, and technical teams to design solutions.
  • Evaluate impacts of system changes across Front-to-Back functionalities.

Treasury & Capital Markets Support


  • Support business processes related to:

    • FX Trading
    • Money Market
    • Fixed Income
    • Derivatives
    • Structured Products
    • Repo Transactions
  • Understand trade lifecycle from deal capture to settlement and accounting.

Testing & UAT Support

  • Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate SIT, UAT, and regression testing activities.
  • Validate system functionality against business requirements.
  • Support defect triage and resolution.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary contact between business users and IT teams.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Support project planning, change management, and deployment activities.

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain business process flows and functional documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support project documentation and knowledge transfer activities.
