About the role

We are seeking a Project Supplier Quality Senior Engineer to join Autoliv (Thailand) Ltd. in Chon Buri on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Quality Assurance and Control function, playing a crucial role in ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for managing supplier quality initiatives on key projects, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. This role is essential to supporting our manufacturing operations and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality plans and strategies for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer requirements

• Conduct supplier audits, assessments and quality evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality specifications

• Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, providing regular reporting and analysis to stakeholders

• Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with suppliers to address quality issues and non-conformances

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, engineering, and production to resolve supplier-related quality issues

• Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality processes, testing requirements and documentation standards

• Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and projects, including process optimisation and capability development programmes

• Maintain detailed quality documentation and records for audit trail and regulatory compliance purposes

• Mentor and support junior quality team members, sharing knowledge and best practices

• Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on supplier quality performance and risks

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in supplier quality management, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry

• Strong knowledge of quality standards and systems, including ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive quality requirements

• Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments using structured methodologies

• Demonstrated ability to analyse quality data, identify trends and develop effective solutions

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple supplier relationships simultaneously

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers at all levels

• Proficiency in quality management tools and systems, including statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)

• Experience with quality documentation systems and ERP software

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement

• Preferred: Experience in automotive safety-critical component manufacturing or certification knowledge (e.g. IATF certifications)
