Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Head of Procurement (Thailand) in our Bangkok office.
Role Overview
The Head of Procurement is responsible for defining and executing the country’s procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving sustainable value creation. This role leads procurement across project and factory operations, strengthens supply chain resilience, and partners with business leaders to support growth and competitiveness.

The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Define and execute the procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals and regional growth plans
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, enabling business outcomes through strategic sourcing and demand planning
- Lead and develop a high-performing procurement organization across Thailand
End-to-End Procurement Excellence
- Oversee procurement activities across project and factory procurement, ensuring scalability to support business expansion
- Establish best-in-class sourcing governance, ensuring transparency, cost control, and full compliance with purchase-to-pay processes
Cost & Value Optimization
- Drive enterprise-wide cost transformation and value engineering initiatives across bids and project execution
- Embed cost competitiveness and total cost of ownership (TCO) thinking into procurement practices
Supplier Strategy & Ecosystem Development
- Build and manage a strategic supplier ecosystem, focusing on long-term partnerships, innovation, and performance excellence
- Strengthen supply chain resilience through supplier diversification, risk mitigation, and localization strategies
Risk & Opportunity Management
- Proactively manage procurement risks, opportunities, and claims across the full project lifecycle
- Provide market intelligence and insights on supply trends, cost drivers, and potential disruptions
Sustainability & Digital Transformation
- Lead sustainable procurement initiatives, integrating ESG principles into sourcing decisions and supplier engagement
- Champion digitalization and data-driven procurement practices to enhance efficiency, visibility, and decision-making
Global Collaboration
- Leverage the global procurement network (category managers and project procurement teams) to drive synergies and best practices
- Align local procurement strategies with regional and global frameworks
Stakeholder & Demand Management
- Ensure strong alignment with internal stakeholders, optimizing demand planning and procurement impact across business units
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver business value
Use your skills to move the world forward.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, experience in strategic purchasing, category management, or project management within a project‑driven environment
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management and at least 5+ years of leadership experience in a people management role
- Strong expertise in supply chain management, with preference for experience in the railway industry
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Proven international exposure, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills in a global environment
- Demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and credibility in a professional setting
- Strong alignment with core values: humility, diligence, execution excellence, and effective problem-solving across people, processes, and systems
- Solid knowledge of electronic sourcing tools, including e-auctions and e-bidding platforms
- Keen interest in digitalization and process automation within procurement
- Proficiency in both English and Thai
