Key Responsibilities
- Develop, consolidate, and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans - including master schedules and periodic routines - based on preventive maintenance programs, condition monitoring data, RCA results, improvement initiatives, and safety compliance requirements; prepare and issue detailed schedules with clear resource allocation, task prioritization, and timelines; coordinate with preventive and execution teams to ensure readiness of tools, materials, and manpower; and continuously adjust and optimize schedules in response to plant conditions, production priorities, and unforeseen events.
- Analyze historical maintenance data to prepare annual and monthly budgets covering manpower, materials, contractors, and CAPEX/OPEX costs; track and control maintenance expenditures to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with financial targets; and support spare part inventory management through usage analysis, reorder point review, and stock level optimization.
- Develop detailed shutdown plans - including job lists, manpower loading, contractor scope, material requisition, equipment rental, and safety arrangements - prepare standard procedures, check sheets, drawings, and risk assessments for major jobs, lead coordination with all relevant departments to ensure alignment and readiness, and monitor shutdown progress with daily updates to ensure timely and complete execution as per plan.
- Coordinate procurement activities - including PR and PO processes - and supervise contractor execution to ensure quality and safety compliance; track project progress and reporting to ensure completion within defined objectives; and lead assigned mechanical modification or improvement projects as CAPEX Project Manager by defining scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
- Analyze maintenance data and equipment history to identify repetitive failures and improvement opportunities, conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for major breakdowns with development and tracking of corrective/preventive actions, and contribute to reliability improvement programs such as FMEA, RCA, and maintenance optimization studies.
- Manage all maintenance-related data and documentation using the SAP PM module - including notifications, work orders, material reservations, PR/PO tracking, and cost reporting - utilize Microsoft Project and Excel for schedule visualization, progress tracking, and resource planning, prepare weekly, monthly, and yearly reports covering key maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, OEE, schedule compliance, safety, and budget performance, and support internal and external audits to ensure continuous compliance.
- Ensure all planned maintenance jobs comply with company safety standards, legal regulations, and risk assessment procedures; coordinate with the Safety Department to implement job safety analysis (JSA), permit-to-work (PTW), and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE); and monitor contractors and internal staff to strictly adhere to OH&S standards and promote a strong safety culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering or planning in heavy industry, preferably cement manufacturing.
- Strong background in maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Experience in shutdown management and project coordination.
- Proven experience with SAP PM module (Notification, Work Order, PR/PO, Maintenance Cost Tracking).
- Familiarity with reliability tools such as RCA, FMEA, and data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with MS Project and Microsoft Excel for planning and reporting.
- Deep understanding of cement plant process and mechanical equipment (kiln, raw mill, cement mill, crusher, conveyors, fans, etc.).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and internal maintenance audit systems.
- Ability to lead planning meetings, handle contractors, and enforce Safety & Environment regulations.
