Job Purpose:

The Piping/Static Equipment Engineer is responsible for engineering design, material selection, technical review, and verification of piping systems and static equipment for refinery, petrochemical, and energy projects. The role ensures that all designs and project documents deliverables comply with project specifications, international codes and standards, Thai regulations, safety requirements and company engineering practices.

The engineer will support project execution from concept, FEED, detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Design & Technical Review

• Perform engineering design and technical review of piping systems and static equipment in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes and standards.

Material Selection & Corrosion Consideration

• Select appropriate materials for piping and static equipment based on process conditions, corrosion mechanisms, and operational reliability.
• Coordinate with Process and Corrosion Engineers to ensure compatibility with process fluids.
• Ensure materials comply with ASTM, ASME, API, and company standards.

Static Equipment Engineering

• Prepare and review static equipment datasheets and vendor technical documents to ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards.

Engineering Document Review

Review and verify engineering deliverables including P&IDs, General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Piping Layouts and Isometrics, Equipment Datasheets, Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Specifications, Vendor Drawings and Calculations to ensure alignment between process design, mechanical design, and plant operation requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum GPAX of 2.80 and TOEIC score of at least 600.
• 3–10 years of experience in piping or static equipment engineering.
• Experience in the refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, or energy industry is preferred.
• Experience in EPC projects, plant modification projects, or turnaround maintenance is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of piping design principles and material selection for refinery applications.
• Understanding of corrosion mechanisms in refinery processes.
• Knowledge of static equipment design and pressure vessel codes.
• Ability to review engineering documents and identify technical issues.

Software Skills

• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SmartPlant, or AVEVA E3D.
• Experience with CAESAR II (Piping Stress Analysis) is preferred.
• Experience with PV Elite or COMPRESS (Pressure Vessel Design) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and engineering judgment.
• Good coordination and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good English communication skills, particularly in technical documentation.
