Job Summary

Responsible for the calculation, design, and development of electrical power systems for renewable energy and Very Small Power Plant (VSPP) projects, with a special consideration for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) & Industrial Waste-to-Energy plants. Operating within an EPC Turnkey (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) framework, this role ensures all electrical designs maximize plant stability, prioritize safe operation and maintenance, and strictly comply with local regulations, international engineering codes, and the PEA/ERC Grid Code.

Key Responsibilities

1.System Analysis & Sizing:

• Calculate total electrical load requirements and analyze internal plant power generation needs (Auxiliary Power) for optimized efficiency.

• Perform and examine advanced power system simulations, including Load Flow, Short-Circuit Analysis, and Time-Current Coordination Studies (Relay Coordination) using specialized software to ensure selective tripping and overall system stability.

2.Equipment Specification:

• Define and review comprehensive technical specifications and datasheets for major electrical power equipment, including Generators, Power Transformers, and High/Medium/Low Voltage (HV/MV/LV) Switchgear.

3.Engineering Design & Drawings:

• Create and review detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and comprehensive protection/control schematics for both construction and plant operation phases.

• Develop and verify plant electrical layout designs, including Earthing & Grounding systems, Lightning Protection, Lighting systems, and Cable Routing/Trays.

4.Procurement & Project Support:

• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical documents for Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages to support the procurement team.

• Conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals and supplier qualifications.

• Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and Project Managers to ensure turnkey project success.

Qualifications1.Education & Licensing:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering major).

• Holder of a valid Thai Professional Electrical Engineering License (กว.).

2.Experience & Technical Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience in power plant design, high-voltage electrical system engineering, or power system analysis.

• Proficient in electrical engineering software and simulation tools, specifically DIALux or Microsoft Office, alongside AutoCAD.

3.Specific Knowledge & Compliance:

• Basic understanding of VSPP processes and related permit requirements (e.g., COP, EIA/EHIA, Construction Permit, Factory License).

• Solid knowledge of PEA / ERC Grid Codes and standard electrical codes/standards (EIT/วสท., IEC, IEEE, NEC).

4.Soft Skills & Other

Requirements:

• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, owners, and contractors under EPC project pressure.

• Good command of technical English (both spoken and written).

• Ability to travel upcountry or abroad for site inspections and project assignments when required.
