Responsibilities :

• Technical Materials and Equipment Procurement
• Procure components and equipment used in the production process, such as motors, fans, ventilation systems, or other engineering-related equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding technical specifications to ensure the products meet required standards.

• Supplier Planning and Evaluation
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers, while developing relationships with existing suppliers.
• Monitor and assess the quality and performance of suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.

• Collaboration with Engineering Teams
• Work closely with R&D teams, design engineers, and production departments to ensure that materials and equipment purchased align with the technical requirements and project needs.

Provide technical advice and information regarding materials and equipment.

• Cost and Efficiency Management
• Analyze costs of materials and equipment to enhance resource efficiency.
• Assist in cost reduction efforts without compromising product quality.

• Quality Assurance
• Participate in the inspection and quality control processes for materials and equipment received.

• Documentation Management
• Prepare documentation and reports related to procurement, such as Purchase Orders (PO), Quotations, and contract documents.

Qualification :

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field

• Work Experience
• Minimum of 5-10 years in the field of plastics technology and / or composite toolmaking.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in the industry, such as fans, motors, or related products.

• Technical Skills
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and strategic procurement practices.
• Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings and product specifications.
• Understanding of industry standards such as ISO, RoHS, or REACH.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle) and other procurement software.

• Language Skills
• English proficiency: Excellent in speaking, reading, and writing, as the role involves communication with international suppliers and teams.
• Knowledge of German is an advantage.

• Negotiation Skills
• Strong negotiation skills to secure the best terms with suppliers.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.

• Management Skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in problem-solving and making effective decisions.
• Capability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, production, and quality control.

Main Task: technical tool purchase and Tool design processes

Focus: Tool design and tool + process feasibility studies

• Project Support: Sample production and parts approval

• Supplier support: Parts and tool drawing explanations

• Supplier development: Tool feasibility studies with the supplier

• Tool release processes: Performing Moldflow analyses

• Tool Settings and tool design review and improvements (tool optimizations)

• Project Controlling: Project schedule tracking with the supplier

• Start of Operation: supporting Machine settings and tool release processes

Project Cooperation: International cooperation within the ZA APAC Companies and especially with the Global HQs Industrial Engineering Team in Germany.
