About the role

This role is based in Bangkok, Thailand with travel to ports and project sites as required. You will coordinate logistics operations, port activities, customs clearance, shipping schedules, and transportation management for project equipment and materials. You will work closely with logistics service providers, subcontractors, the Project Manager and Procurement Manager to ensure timely delivery in accordance with project schedules.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate with logistics service providers and subcontractors on port operations and customs clearance, identify potential clearance risks, minimize demurrage and other additional costs, and follow up on clearance-related issues.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules, port operations, local transportation and project delivery requirements to ensure equipment and materials are delivered in accordance with project schedules.
  • Support the management of port storage and temporary storage arrangements, including coordination with subcontractors on storage areas and equipment safety.
  • Participate in and coordinate cargo loading and unloading activities at ports, ensuring proper interface between shipping, port handling and inland transportation.
  • Support transportation route surveys from port to project sites, assist in preparing route survey reports, identify transportation risks and constraints, and support development of appropriate transportation solutions.
  • Coordinate the execution of heavy and oversized equipment transportation, including wind turbine components and other project equipment.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Procurement Manager to monitor transportation subcontract execution, delivery progress and logistics-related project milestones.
  • Support transportation subcontractor management, including progress follow-up, correspondence, contract interpretation, variations, claims and issue resolution.
  • Collect, maintain and analyze transportation rates, vehicle resources and logistics market information, and provide recommendations to support procurement and subcontractor management.
  • Coordinate logistics interfaces among shipping, port handling, inland transportation, lifting, engineering and project-site activities.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project logistics, transportation management or subcontractor management.
  • Experience in heavy/oversized cargo transportation and large equipment logistics is highly preferred.
  • Experience in wind power, renewable energy, EPC, power infrastructure or large construction projects is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with transportation vehicles and Thai road transportation regulations.
  • Experience in port operations and customs clearance is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of crane and lifting operations is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating transportation subcontractors and logistics service providers.
  • Good understanding of logistics risks and ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across project teams, subcontractors and external parties.
