Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Performance Analysis and Improvement

• Analyze and improve OEE, output, cycle time, yield, scrap, labor productivity and capacity utilization by establishing measurable baselines and targets.

• Conduct time studies, work measurement, line balancing, takt-time analysis and bottleneck analysis to optimize manpower, machinery and work sequence.

• Apply Lean/Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), SMED, standard work and material-flow improvement to reduce waste and non-value-added time.

• Work with Production, Quality and Maintenance to analyze root causes, define countermeasures, trial improvements, validate results and establish standards to sustain performance.

• Production Line Layout and Capacity Planning

• Design and improve production line layouts considering capacity, material flow, WIP, ergonomics, machine safety, utility requirements and future capacity expansion.

• Analyze production capacity, machinery and manpower requirements, including preparation of current/future-state layouts and transition plans that minimize production disruption.

• Prepare and control revisions of layouts, process flows, engineering drawings and related documents to keep them current.

• New Machinery Projects and Acceptance

• Prepare User Requirement Specifications (URS), technical specifications, scopes of work and acceptance criteria aligned with capacity, quality, safety and process requirements.

• Evaluate supplier options, layout, utilities, CAPEX, return on investment (ROI) and project risks to support investment approval.

• Plan site preparation and verify readiness of space, foundations, electrical/mechanical utilities, machine safety and EHS requirements before installation.

• Coordinate and conduct pre-delivery machine testing, installation, commissioning, trial runs and performance/capability verification against approved acceptance criteria.

• Verify manuals, drawings/as-builts, programs/backups, preventive maintenance plans, recommended spare parts and warranty documents, and provide training to Production and Maintenance.

• Project Management and Follow-Up

• Prepare project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and progress reports while controlling quality, safety, timing and budget.

• Manage and coordinate suppliers/contractors to comply with the scope, specifications, acceptance criteria and factory safety requirements.

• Track results after improvement and handover to confirm realized benefits against the approved baseline, KPIs and ROI.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or another relevant engineering discipline.

• At least 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience; at least 5 years for a Senior-level appointment.

• Demonstrated results in productivity improvement, cycle time/OEE/capacity analysis, line balancing or Lean/Kaizen.

• Experience in at least one new-machine installation, commissioning or acceptance project.

• Able to read and prepare AutoCAD/plant layout drawings and use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Power BI or Minitab is an advantage.

• Able to read mechanical/electrical drawings and English-language supplier specifications, manuals and documents.

• Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, project-management and cross-functional coordination skills across Production, Maintenance, suppliers and contractors.

• Knowledge of machine safety, EHS and safe machinery installation/commissioning practices.

• A professional engineering license will be considered an advantage.

• Available for working on alternate Saturday.
