Responsibilities

Lead the creative strategy and vision across all Pomelo photography projects

Collaborate with the wider creative teams on the development of all photo and video shoots

Manage the Pomelo product catalog, ensuring best in class content for our customers at all times

Oversee resource planning within the Photography Studio, ensuring that each deadline is met on-time and to the agreed brand quality standards

Shoot and direct commercial and compelling product, marketing and lookbook shoots.

Develop and execute photography guidelines, including lighting, posing and composition

Manage, mentor and develop a team of in-house model and still life photographers

Improve on and implement new workflow processes to motivate team and aid efficiency

Lead and optimise the image selection, QC and upload process

Oversee all product retouch, optimising guidelines and working with in-house and external post production partners.

Analyze photo team quality and productivity in order to lead process improvements and ensure optimal studio performance against business operational metrics

Apply market trend and competitor research to elevate the brand aesthetic

Stay abreast of current photography trends and conduct photography and video talent portfolio reviews of local and regional talent for Pomelo campaigns

Drive the creative vision, implement the brand product strategy and maintain best in class photography across all Pomelo platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Photography or related field

5-8 years commercial fashion photography experience with a strong portfolio to support. Fashion e-commerce experience highly preferred

Experience in managing and mentoring other photographers

Strong photographic lighting and compositional skills

Productivity-focused and with an exceptional eye for detail

Fully understands technical specs for print and Web

Full proficiency in Capture One, Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite required

Self-driven with the ability to communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment

Strong leadership, project management, communication, problem solving skills

Excellent English communication skills mandatory
