Colorist/ Textile Chemical/ Dyeing
ที่VF Asia Limited- Vietnam Representative Office- Roles and Responsibilities:
- Color standard management including:
- a.Perform spectral measurement for all physical color standard swatches to ensure the accuracy against VF Master QTX reading before season starts.
- b.Conduct visual assessment for each physical color standard to ensure chip is in good condition.
- c.Manage the master color standard record to confirm the validity of all color standards for related brand.
- d.Verify the database of seasonal color standard codes and VF Master QTX of brand during development stage.
- e.Communicate with suppliers on problematic color standard chips.
- Initiate lab dips, sales samples and 1st bulk requests to suppliers through collaboration with internal and external partners in system.
- Review lab dips, sales samples, 1st bulk, subsequent bulk lots and trims in light box on daily basis.
- Ensure color consistency and continuity of all lab dips, sales samples, 1st bulk, subsequent bulk lots and trims. Management of suppliers in terms of color quality.
- Compare visual judgment against spectral data, interpret data from Spectrophotometer as supplementary tools.
- Primary contact with suppliers on submission results and drives process to correct if needed.
- Provide training to suppliers on VF brand's requirements and procedures.
- Communicate with suppliers, merchandising team and QA to provide technical advices and recommendation.
- Keep track submit status with suppliers to ensure all colors are approved on schedule before bulk production.
- Refer fabric mills to global dyestuff suppliers when they have problem in achieving the color standard.
- Conduct quarterly on-site audit for color accreditation scheme and follow up action plan from suppliers.
- Prepare monthly supplier performance report for responsible VF Brands.
- Create and manage color story book for approved lab dip, 1st bulk and subsequent bulk lots.
- Requirements:
- University / Polytechnic graduate in Textile / Chemistry or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years solid experience in color approval, training in dyeing mil is an advantage.
- Knowledge of color physic, fabric properties, dyeing and finishing process.
- Familiar with Spectrophotometer, formal training / obtain certificate from Datacolor or GretagMacbeth (X-rite) is an advantage.
- Having good color vision and sense, attain superior level in Farnsworth-Munsell 100-Hue Test.
- Good knowledge in application of MS Power Point and formula in MS Excel.
- Good team player and work independently; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Chinese.
