Assistant Manager, Retail Big Data Analyst

Context/Scope:- This role is responsible for Trade spend (SD & Mkt Co-Op) related operation.
- Support BU teams & IDC Branch on planning, & analysing performance of TSE-S Trade Spend.
- Support excellent execution of strategic projects from HQ, RHQ.
- Supporting key decision makers in BU (including commercial finance), ensuring they understand financial implications of the decisions they make and have the information and tools they need to make better decisions.
Dimensions:
Accounting & Finance:
- Accounting Leader for Trade Spend (SD & Marketing Co-Op) to make sure Correct On-Time accrual is made,
- Conduct Planning & Performance analysis for key KPIs related to Trade Spend
- Thailand is one of the key market for Samsung for ASEAN. Product is sourced from many Countries e.g. Vietnam, Korea,
- TSE-S is a Sales Subsidiary of Samsung, covering 4 markets: Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos.
- TSE-S is a distribution company selling a portfolio of 3 key divisions (Mobile, VD, DA) through three key channels: Open Trade/Dealers, Modern Trade, Operators, and Online Trade, comprising 700 customers.

Accounting
- Lead & coach SD Team to make sure Correct On-Time accrual is made
- Lead & coach SD Team to make sure thorough verification is made before payment to customers
- Lead SD Monthly Closing
- Perform Due Diligence of SD in P/L & B/S
- Respond to Risk item & EW monitoring by HQ/RHQ including preparing countermeasure and execution
- Lead Quarterly Promotion Confirmation for Top Customers
- MOU Scheme Approval (with BU Trade Marketing)
- Promotion Scheme Approval (with Channel Performance team)
- Verification Approval (exception case in GSCM)
- Payment Approval
- Support Monthly IDC SD Quick and Target Planning coordination & system upload
- Support Claim LT performance monitoring
- Support Post Approval monitoring
- Lead Mid-month SD Forecast (over/under claim)
- Lead Month End Pre-closing
- Support TIM performance report
- Lead Yearly Management Planning coordination & system support
- Support & coordinate system related issue as SD NERP Power user
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching and career development for team of 12 subordinates.
- Customer Claim Lead time : Manage Claim Lead time within company Target
- Long Aging Condition (SD) & Marketing EO over 90 days
- Reduce Post Approval
- Quarterly Promotion Confirmation
- MOU/CONTRACT Scheme Approval & Payment Approval Tracking
- On Time Mid-month SD Forecast (over/under claim)
- On Time Month End Pre-closing
Role and Responsibilities
Critical
- Solid technical/functional knowledge in Accounting. BBA and Master degree in Accounting from reputable university
- Relevant work experience in Accounting (AP). 3-5 years in Accounting (AP) manager position with people management exposure
- Experience in budget / forecast process and variance analysis
- Solid experience in analysis effectiveness of trade and marketing spend, as well as channel and product division/segment P&L performance analysis.
- Strong analytical skill
- Business partnering mind-set to work effectively with cross functions
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly on Excel
- Good written and spoken English
- Exceptional ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and focus on priorities
- Strong communication and people skills, able to influence management
Desirable
- Familiar with SAP

- Lack of business conceptual and financial analysis skills
- Lack of commercial insights
- Lack of sense of urgency, inability to set (and stick to) priorities.
- Lack of interpersonal skills, inability to build relationships, trust and respect with key business partners

- Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years
