About our group:

Process Development and Integration (PDI) is performing HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) development, as well as other cleanroom processes development (photolithography, ion beam etching, evaporation, bar assembly & adhesive development etc.). Our team is developing new slider processes or technology to meet future product roadmap requirements.

About the role - you will:

• Develop a new bar assembly process (a process which adheres bars on a stainless-steel carrier for subsequent photolithography process) which is critical to deliver best-in-class carrier cleanliness, photolithography alignment & mechanical yield.
• Develop assembly tooling or machines that are compatible with the new bar assembly process with basic concept of mechanical design.
• Design experiment to identify optimized settings to improve existing bar assembly processes.
• Utilizes series of statistical tools to make engineering decisions.
• Work closely with operation shop floor teams (manufacturing, process and equipment engineering) to enable successful execution of new technology into the process.
• Be responsible for technology and/or process transfer between sites or inter departments

About you:

• Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written

Your experience includes:

• Bachelors or higher degree in the Engineering discipline and/or equivalent experience
• Basic knowledge of adhesive, chemistry and/or mechanical design.
• Experienced in process development and improvement by using LEAN or Six Sigma concepts would be a added advantage.
• Problem analysis skills (Is & Is-not Analysis, Kepner Tregoe and CAPA8D)
