We are looking for a highly motivated Packaging Engineer to join our team! This role is part of a team that identifies and validates new packaging technology and methods, develops and implements new packaging specs, provides technical expertise to manufacturing plants. Identify and implement solutions to packaging equipment/material issues and to continuous improvement goals. In addition, identifies projects that contribute to cost savings and corporate sustainability goals.
What you will do

• Lead new packaging material development according to commercial plans to support new product launch and relaunch initiatives
• Conduct packaging material validation testing and manufacturability assessment
• Support procurement, participate in suppliers evaluation, coordination and qualification
• Set packaging material specifications and implement applicable company packing material test standards.
• Understand the capabilities of the Packaging Laboratory test equipment and exhibit a working knowledge of their operation
• Build competitive advantage by identifying, evaluating, and championing technical advancements, design trends and innovations in packaging. Stay aware of supplier and competitor new developments, and highlight to appropriate management as needed
• Establish global specifications for packages, processes, and/or equipment, which are consistent with KPI goals and support Quality and EHS Standards. Provide efficient and timely documentation and/or transfer of manufacturing and engineering technologies throughout Hill's manufacturing plants.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Provide packaging printing area drawing for artwork preparation
• Initiate and pursue FTG related to packaging to ensure timely implementation and have packaging to meet Colgate standard quality
• Maintain and update packaging specification in the PGSS
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Packaging ,Mechanical ,Polymer, Printing or related fields.
• At least 3 years of packaging matter related experience
• Good communication skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset and results driven
• Knowledge in flexible film and/or injection/blow molding
• Continuous improvement mindset and results driven
• Proficient in English both writing and speaking
• Proficient in using Google tools is preferable. Other computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• International experience is an advantage
• Manufacturing/plant experience and/or experience in other Supply Chain functions is an advantage.
