Position duties

• Supports and maintains storage and virtualization technologies,

• Leads and participates in projects, including but not limited to:

• Planning, design, and implementation of new solutions

• Improve resilience of the current environment;

• Capacity upgrades and hardware renewal

• Software upgrades

• More specifically, will lead the design and the implementation of a mutualized storage platform and eventually lead day to day operations once live.

• Responsible for ensuring physical assets are properly used, inventoried and monitored

• Responsible for ensuring the quality of deliverables (documentation, procedures, reporting, KPI etc.) for his perimeter.

• Accountable for following up IT Incidents and IT change management with sufficient level of details for his perimeter

• Providing fellow system administrators and support representatives with technical support and guidance.

• Monitoring Linux servers for stability and taking both proactive and reactive measures to correct and prevent issues.

Required technical proficiencies

• SAN, NAS, Virtualization, FC, NFS, CIFS, FCoE, and iSCSI
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise and mid-tier class storage arrays from Netapp (preferred) or EMC/IBM
• Experience implementing storage solutions for Linux, Windows in a VMware environments
• Disaster Recovery Support: Experience planning and conducting Disaster Recovery exercises along with their documentation and methodologies.
• Understanding of best practices of SAN design, implementation and configuration.
• Experienced with ISCSI and FCOE Fabric connections to switches and arrays.
• Ability to solve highly complex problems spanning multiple technologies and disciplines
• Knowledge of the Linux operating system
• Knowledge of Linux shell script

Base requirements

• Qualified candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role. Experience in Financial industry is preferred
• Project management and problem solving skills are a must
• The candidate should be curious, proactive, and willing to be an actor of a company transformation process
• Stand-by required
• Bachelor's degree BSc. Computer Science, Engineer or Master or equivalent, e.g. diploma (mandatory)
• Must possess excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral)
