Job Description

To serve the needs of the business, our guests and our Team Memebers by supporting the effective management of all the financial matters of the Retreat. To be responsible for the purchasing of all items required by Retreat departments and ensuring that the best prices are obtained without compromising quality.

As a member of the finance department, this role is responsible for ensuring that all the financial affairs of the Retreat are conducted to the highest standards of honesty and integrity. High ethical standards are necessary to maintain both competitive advantage and the pride and confidence of our associates, and to provide quality products and services to customers and clients.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. RAKxa employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their Team Memebers. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

• Find reliable sources to supply goods and services
• Contact suppliers to obtain information on price, quality and delivery capabilities for the goods/services required
• Look at and recommend potential new sources or alternative materials, prices and products
• Decide which products to buy, place orders and follow these up to make sure that they are delivered to the right place at the right time
• Use computers to plan material requirements and to record details of goods ordered and received; costs of products and supplier information.

• College degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in luxury hotel as Purchasing Manager
• Excellent negotiation skills and knowledge in procurement administration
• Capable to multi-task and manage a number of tasks simultaneously
