Your Role and Responsibilities
Within IBM Consulting, we have a focused business for Core Banking transformation for our banking clients and we are seeking an Core Banking SME to join our team in Thailand. In this role, you will participate in analyzing the banking functions and architecture, legacy core banking applications and surrounding systems, defining target application/business architectures including the new cloud-native core banking systems, and migration strategies for our clients, focusing on transforming core banking system to cloud. You will advise our clients to identify the right technology strategy, operating model and help modernize their legacy applications (mainframe as well as distributed) or build a completely new application stack using modern cloud native architectures with container platforms and cloud services by leveraging enterprise architecture assets.

• Define strategy with respect to enterprise related standards and design goals; provide technical design, operating model and architectural leadership, including documenting and diagramming the logical and physical, and process views across multiple technology domains.
• Facilitate organizational change by defining strategies for the banking clients with respect to technology standards, industry models (such as BIAN) and design goals; evaluate business requirements in the early stages of projects to determine what solutions, integration technologies, system architectures and patterns should be employed to meet business objectives efficiently; participate in the development of roadmaps, which include product selection, implementations, data migrations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Identify and advise clients on emerging technology solutions in the retail and commercial banking businesses that reduce costs, increase efficiencies, provide more value, capabilities, reduce risks and increase security.
• Collaborate with project teams to lead solution design, project proposals, proofs-of-concept, and delivery of the solution implementation including integration with both internal and external applications
• Communicate best practices by giving presentations, working with project teams, and authoring content aimed at educating others about standards, strategies, and otherwise defined best practices
• Have the ability to work with the client's IT team, as well as C-level executives to demonstrate IBM's value proposition for banking transformation. This includes assessing the current application landscape and infrastructure environment, performing a gap analysis, and recommending the to-be application architecture, migration path and operating model.

Use your knowledge of legacy platforms as well as new cloud-native core banking solutions, cloud application architecture and best practices, hybrid cloud architecture, Domain Driven Design (DDD), API management, Microservices, DevSecOps, Data Modernization and cloud integration technologies to advise our clients on their core transformation journey.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in IT consulting, architecting and delivering banking solutions across multiple enterprise architecture domains (technology and application is a must, information and infrastructure will be desired)
• Strong experience architecting and developing cloud-native applications including the development of APIs and microservices on containers.
• Demonstrable experience in core banking transformation projects, including developing project plans and budgets for successful IT projects
• Intimate knowledge with FIS/Finastra core banking solution implementations & modules
• Experience with legacy applications including mainframe/AS400, modern application development and modernizing integration landscape using traditional and cloud-native integration and messaging technologies (MQ, Kafka, et al)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with legacy applications including mainframe/AS400, modern application development and modernizing integration landscape using traditional and cloud-native integration and messaging technologies (MQ, Kafka, et al)
• Experience in a consulting organization including consultative-based selling of technology transformation projects and presenting recommendations to clients and/or stakeholders
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with DevSecOps usage, and definition of DevSecOps tools, methods and processes recommendations
• Experience in BIAN usage as a reference model for designing new core banking solutions or modernizing the legacy platform
• Experience in using Domain Driven Design (DDD), event storming methods and Agile methodologies at work
• Experience in data migration and transformation
• Experience and knowledge of IBM Z and RedHat OpenShift
