Your Role and Responsibilities
As a member of our Business Development Executive team, you will originate, develop, and mature large opportunities in your assigned market.

• To understand – really understand - the client's business problems, and help to explore the underlying opportunities for IBM Services.
• To bridge the gap between the client's key business objectives and solutions that incorporate organizational, technical, and operational differentiators.
• To develop and present thought leadership, using your business and technical insights, to generate client interest.
• To enhance the client's perception of IBM's unique value, and expose the competitive and strategic impact that working with IBM will have on their business
• To promote IBM as a preferred partner, as our clients accelerate to Hybrid Cloud and complex Multi-Cloud topologies - because of our grounding in the discipline of running the world's most critical infrastructure, in combination with innovation, co-creation, collaboration, and business knowledge.

Simply stated, your main goal as the Business Development Executive is to bring the very best fully-qualified opportunities forward to an engagement team to drive to contract signature.

• Be The One Trusted Advisor for the entire IBM Services portfolio, including hardware and software.
• Enhance the client's perception of IBM's unique value and the competitive and strategic impact on their business.
• Manage 4 or more concurrent opportunities.
• Exhibit the discipline to stop underqualified deals from moving forward, and to prevent assigning our most critical skills to under-qualified deals.
• Fully integrate with the Agile Engagement Model (AEM), and align with all Services Integration Hub (SIH) processes, to ensure that our teams are working on only our highest qualified engagements.
• Identify, grow, and manage the opportunity pipeline to drive signings.
  

About Business UnitThis position currently sits within Global Technology Services (GTS) Infrastructure Services (IS) or a shared services function supporting GTS.
As announced in October 2020, IBM intends that its managed infrastructure services business of the GTS organization will become an independent company named Kyndryl by the end of 2021, creating two distinct and powerful market-leading companies.
