Your Role and Responsibilities

Job role description: Associate Front-end Developer

Ready to show our clients a better way to run their businesses through forward-looking technology? We're looking for someone who'll be instrumental in bringing industry-defining products, cloud services and web applications to users around the world. You'll get experience building responsive, elegant and engaging experiences with future-friendly web technologies. Working with clients, you'll be responsible for creating visual elements that users see and interact with in a web or mobile environment.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Understand technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and User Stories
• Understand needs of the user and accessibility needs dependent upon regulation
• Build reusable code that scale and maintain code quality
• Understand how to connect to backend services (Usually RESTful APIs)
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders via the tools available

Work you could do as an Associate Front End Developer:

• Build reusable code that scale and maintain code quality
• Understand how to connect to backend services (Usually RESTful APIs)
• Work in an agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers.
• Use IBM's Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders via the tools available
• Understand technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and User Stories
• Understand needs of the user and accessibility needs dependent upon regulation

Qualification:

• Proficient understanding of web markup languages, including HTML5, CSS3
• Basic knowledge in one or more of the following technology areas: HTML, CSS, UI Development, JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, Vue.js, Angular
• Create quality mockups and prototypes
• Familiarity in responsive and mobile design skills
• Familiarity with cross-browser development needs
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Exposure to web services and multiple Java application frameworks highly desired

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• BS / MS degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology or other related subjects
• Good in English
• Associates hire prefer new graduates, or no more than 2 years working experience.
