We are looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to establish a finance team in Adastra Thailand, based in Adastra's office in Bangkok. The ideal candidate should be an all-round accountant, able to independently maintain books of a legal entity including all statutory reporting and tax matters. He/she will over time have the opportunity to build his/her own accounting department and possibly move to the Finance Manager position.

• Single point of contact for all finance related matters in Adastra Thailand
• Bookkeeping for Adastra Thailand:
• Invoices issued and received
• AP/AR processing and reconciliation, preparation of supplier payments
• Bank statement processing
• Accounting for business trips
• Accounting of fixed assets
• Posting of work in progress and other accruals
• Posting of payroll related entries
• Coordination of payroll processing
• Communication and information exchange with state & government authorities with regards to finance, legal and employment related issues.
• Tax related transactions and reposting (Value Added Tax, Corporate tax, Withholding tax)
• Coverage of all statutory reporting, including YEC.
• Cooperation with auditors during year end audit

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position or 5 years of experience as part of an Accounting Department
• Relevant educational background in Accounting, ACCA/CIMA/CPA welcome
• Working knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
• Good computer literacy – MS Office package
• Experience with accounting software (experience with MS Dynamics AX or a similar ERP system will be considered as an advantage)
• Ability to respect and keep confidential information
• Good organizational skills
