The school is looking for a personable, skilled, School Shop Assistant to handle a variety of related processes, and activities, under the direction of the School Shop and Purchasing Manager.

• Maintain the appearance and organisation of all merchandise in the School Shop
• Provide product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer requests; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions.
• Make all sales transactions according to school systems
• Liaise with direct line manager on required purchases
• Keep stock records and initiate new orders as and when required
• Maintain stock of stationary items for school use, ensuring that school procedure in reducing budgets is followed at all times
• Reconcile sales with cash on a daily basis and submit correct documentation to the Accounts Department for further processing
• Manage selling and customer service activities to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction
• Support whole school events

• Degree in Business Administration or related field
• Experience and knowledge in customer service and administrative work
• Ability to understand the customers' needs
• Excellent spoken and written English skills
• Highly organised with capacity for speed and accuracy in work output
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible, positive attitude and a great team worker
