• The Visual Merchandising Artist is responsible for designing, developing and taking charge of the visual look of the company's showrooms, events & promotions, and thereby contributing to the advertising, marketing, and sales efforts of a retail location. The successful candidate will work with the Business Development Executive and Showroom Sales Teams to execute merchandising strategies by creating and maintaining visual displays and the overall showroom ambiance. This individual will work with the Product Coordinators to contribute to the profitability of the showroom with merchandise handling, replenishment, and inventory control efforts.

• 5 years relevant professional experience in visual merchandising or similar roles, such as marketing and design-related positions.
• Tertiary Qualifications within a recognised Communication Art, Display & Exhibition Design or comparable design related programmes.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Highly computer literate, including all forms of social media.
• Responsible for creating & maintaining a compelling presentation of merchandise that will engage customers and help stimulate sales activity.
• Ensure that the image and style of the company & its brands is projected at all times, as well as communicating key information that is vital to the success of new merchandising initiatives.
• Proactive participation in inventory management; stock merchandise & take inventory, facilitate stock transfers and maintain awareness of potential loss prevention issues.
• Provide training about design concepts, visual display standards, and the proper maintenance of the overall visual display effort.
• Must be self-reliant, self-motivated, and have an ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines without supervision.
• Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and be a role model for outstanding customer service at all times.
• Expected to have excellent organizational skills, as well as planning, project & time management expertise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong creative flair and effective problem solving abilities.
• Must be able to meet the appropriate social expectations of a professional office environment, as well as the company's reputation and premium brands.
• May be required to undertake domestic and international travel for business purposes.
• You will be responsible for creating & changing visual displays, and in some instances may be required to help push, lift and carry merchandise & fixtures. 
• May be required to work early morning and late night hours, as well as weekends and holidays
